  • Power Outages

  • WHAT NUMBER DO I CALL TO REPORT AN OUTAGE OR CONTACT SOMEONE AFTER HOURS?

  • Please call the Outage and After-Hours phone number at (801) 489-2750.

  • WHAT DO I DO IF I EXPERIENCE A POWER OUTAGE?

  • Look to see if your neighbors’ lights are on and if the street lights are on. If your neighbors’ power is on or the street lights are on, it is likely that the outage is isolated to your house. If so, locate your breaker panel and see if any of the breakers are in the tripped position. If they are, reset any tripped breakers. There is also a main disconnect that is located on the same panel as the electrical meter (normally outside). If your power is still off after doing the above, or you need assistance, please call Electrical Dispatch at (801) 489-2750.

  • Electric Department General Info

  • WHO DO I CALL TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT MY POWER?

  • To have your power connected, please call Springville City’s Utility Services at (801) 491-7860 or visit the Utility Services page.

  • WHO DO I CALL IF I HAVE A UTILITY QUESTION?

  • If you have a question about your utilities, please visit the Utility Services website or call (801) 491-7860 during business hours.

  • WHO DO I CALL FOR TEMPORARY POWER?

  • If you are building and need temporary power, it is necessary to fill out and submit an application with Springville City’s Community Development department. When the plans have been approved and the fees are paid, Community Development will contact the Electrical department and approve the connection of temporary power.

  • WHO DO I CALL TO REPORT A STREET LIGHT THAT IS OUT?

  • Please call Electrical Dispatch at (801) 489-2750. Street lights are repaired weekly.

  • WHO DO I CALL IF THERE ARE TREE LIMBS NEAR THE POWER LINES?

  • To report tree limbs near power lines, please call Electrical Dispatch at (801) 489-2750. An electrical department employee will investigate the problem and inform the necessary personnel. Please be aware that cable television and telephone services also use overhead lines and you will need to report the issue with those companies as well.

  • WHY ARE THERE PAINT MARKINGS ON MY PROPERTY

  • The markings are for underground utilities — natural gas, power, water, sewer and others. State law requires that underground utilities be marked before any excavation. Please visit Blue Stakes for more information.

  • WHAT ARE AMI (automated or smart) METERS AND WHAT DO THEY DO?

  • The AMI (automated or smart) meters allow the Electrical department to accurately read meters for usage and demand. The meters cannot disconnect the power, or identify appliances in your home, and they do not regulate electrical usage in any way.
