Please remember that the library will be closed on Tuesday for Veterans’ Day.  That means we won’t have our story hours on that day, but the other regularly scheduled children’s programs will continue as normal throughout this week.  Look through our list of events below:

Thurs, Nov 13               6:00pm             Clases de Inglés-English Classes                                  Inglés para hablantes de otros idiomas. Un programa global que integra las cuatro áreas principales de: escuchar, hablar, leer y escribir. Este curso es diez (10) semanas de duración con 5 horas de instrucción por semana. El programa es gratuito y el registro es rápido y sencillo. Habrá premios para la buena asistencia y un certificado de graduación.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes are a comprehensive program integrating the four main areas of language -listening, speaking, reading and writing. This course is ten (10) weeks long in most sites with 5 hours of instruction per week. The program is free and registration is fast and simple. There will be prizes for good attendance as well as a graduation certificate.

1st and 3rd Thursdays, 6:00 – 7:00 pm for 5-8 yrs.
2nd and 4th Thursdays, 6:00 – 7:00 pm for 9-12 yrs.

Stories in Motion is a story time program like no other! Come experience the magic as the children’s literature we explore comes to life through creative movement. As we dive into and dance through both old and new story favorites, children will have the opportunity to make meaningful personal connections, participate in creative and divergent thinking, and develop kinesthetic awareness and expression. Appropriate for both boys and girls and all skill levels, this story time promises not to be forgotten!

Come join us on Saturdays from 1 – 4 pm in the multi-purpose room to get some work done on your novel! This is a quiet gathering, and a good chance to really focus on your story. Questions and quiet discussion are welcome, but be ready to get down to business. This event is hosted by Matthew Walker, who has been the Municipal Liaison for 9 years, so if you have any questions about NaNoWriMo he can answer them.
