As a nine-year resident, I have grown to love this community and have become deeply committed to helping the City move forward by advocating streamlined and simplified policies, improved communication between residents and leadership, and a vision of Springville as an attractive and growing area. I am very confident that planned, desirable growth is possible through responsive and flexible management practices and coordinated effort and planning.

As vice-chair of the Springville Power Board I am also aware of the challenges that accompany community development. Leadership, communication, business management and financial expertise, and creativity are essential in overcoming these obstacles.

Through my previous and current roles as a renewable energy business executive, investment portfolio manager for a major insurance company, and corporate risk officer for a large bank, I have demonstrated each of these skills. MBA-training from BYU has further enhanced my professional abilities and understanding of business and management. Yet I believe that my most important qualification remains my strong desire to contribute to our community and help ensure the preservation of its unique character. This should be our common goal because I and my family, along with you, plan on continuing to call this great City home.
