We hope that everyone enjoyed the long weekend. This week at the library includes a “Celebrating Springville Authors” Night on Wednesday at 7pm. Make sure and come for it. We have three local authors – Vern Swanson, Rachael Anderson, and Joyce Whiting – who will speak and share some of their thoughts on writing. Come with your questions and get ready to sample some of Joyce’s recipes from her new cookbook!

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes are a comprehensive program integrating the four main areas of language -listening, speaking, reading and writing. This course is ten (10) weeks long in most sites with 5 hours of instruction per week. The program is free and registration is fast and simple. There will be prizes for good attendance as well as a graduation certificate.

Join licensed yoga instructor Jolene Hale for this 45 minute class on our second floor.
Jolene graduated from BYU with a BS in Exercise Science. She has practiced yoga for 12 years and has been teaching for the last 6 years. She is very excited to be sharing her love of yoga with everyone in Springville. Experienced yogis and anyone new to yoga are encouraged to attend.

Holly Lambert is a native of Springville and has lived here most of her life. She now lives in Mapleton with her husband and 3 children. Holly recently certified in Ashtanga Yoga and looks forward to sharing the benefits that Yoga can bring to all ages.

Stories in Motion is a story time program like no other! Come experience the magic as the children’s literature we explore comes to life through creative movement. As we dive into and dance through both old and new story favorites, children will have the opportunity to make meaningful personal connections, participate in creative and divergent thinking, and develop kinesthetic awareness and expression. Appropriate for both both boys and girls and all skill levels, this story time promises not to be forgotten!

Sat, Feb 21 11:30am Babysitting Basics
Come to this free class to learn how to become the best babysitter in the neighborhood. Designed for ages 11-15, we’ll be learning about babysitting safety, how to get called back, and how to keep those kids entertained. Space is limited so sign up at the front desk to reserve your spot. This class will be three Saturdays in a row – Feb 14th, 21st, & 28th.
