Springville Library Events October 27th – November 1st

It’s the last week in October – Happy Halloween!  Saturday will be November 1st, so come celebrate Day of the Dead from noon until 2pm with us.  November also brings a new line up of Saturday morning computer classes. Check out the new topics below.

November also means it’s National Novel Writing Month.  Come join Matthew Walker every Saturday in November from 1-4pm for a writing session!

Inglés para hablantes de otros idiomas. Un programa global que integra las cuatro áreas principales de: escuchar, hablar, leer y escribir. Este curso es diez (10) semanas de duración con 5 horas de instrucción por semana. El programa es gratuito y el registro es rápido y sencillo. Habrá premios para la buena asistencia y un certificado de graduación.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes are a comprehensive program integrating the four main areas of language -listening, speaking, reading and writing. This course is ten (10) weeks long in most sites with 5 hours of instruction per week. The program is free and registration is fast and simple. There will be prizes for good attendance as well as a graduation certificate.

Join licensed yoga instructor Jolene Hale for this 45 minute class on our second floor.
Jolene graduated from BYU with a BS in Exercise Science. She has practiced yoga for 12 years and has been teaching for the last 6 years. She is very excited to be sharing her love of yoga with everyone in Springville. Experienced yogis and anyone new to yoga are encouraged to attend.

Come join us on Saturdays from 1 – 4 pm in the multi-purpose room to get some work done on your novel! This is a quiet gathering, and a good chance to really focus on your story. Questions and quiet discussion are welcome, but be ready to get down to business. This event is hosted by Matthew Walker, who has been the Municipal Liaison for 9 years, so if you have any questions about NaNoWriMo he can answer them.
