Below is a list of all our programs this week at the library. Come and enjoy these activities and find some new summer reading material!

Tues, June 24                        3 sessions              Up the Beanstalk!

This is our summer reading program for ages 2-7 with stories, puppets, crafts, and games.  Sign up online – ticket required.  We will have sessions of “Up the Beanstalk!” at 9:30, 10:30, & 11:30 on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

 Tues, June 24                          8:00pm                    Yoga

Join licensed yoga instructor Jolene Hale for this 45 minute class.   Jolene graduated from BYU with a BS in Exercise Science. She has practiced yoga for 12 years and has been teaching for the last 6 years. She is very excited to be sharing her love of yoga with everyone in Springville. Experienced yogis and anyone new to yoga are encouraged to attend.

If you love Justin Timberlake, Fergie, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Flo Rida, and Chris Brown then this Hip Hop class is for you! Whether you like to pop-lock-and drop it or just get your groove on, you’re in for a good time AND serious work out!

Your Hip Hop instructor Britney Lindsey comes from Northern California and is 24 years-old where music and dancing largely influenced her life!. No judging in this class! Come to smile, sweat, and party!

Thurs, June 26                         7:00pm                    Bird Watching for Beginners!

Come for the second in our summer series “Know the –ologies”.  This first class is on ornithology – Birds!  If you like to put up bird feeders and watch the birds, or enjoy seeing and hearing birds while you are out and about, and want to know more about what you are seeing/hearing, this class is for you!  Keeli Marvel, an avid birder, professional biologist and current president of the Utah County Birders will introduce the basic equipment needed for bird watching and how to identify some of the common birds you might see in your yard or neighborhood.

  1. Thank you for the amazing summer program for kids! My 4 year old daughter loves it. I like that they get to listen to stories and puppet shows and also do a craft and other activities.
