Traffic School

You must be approved for traffic school prior to taking the class. Please contact the court to see if you qualify for a plea in abeyance agreement with the prosecutor. Once approval is obtained,  you must come to the court to fill out the necessary paperwork.

When you are ready to begin traffic school, please visit the link below. Please note that no other online classes are approved and credit will not be given for taking unapproved classes. There are many websites for traffic school that appear to be approved and official, but are not.
 
If you are under age 25, you must attend and complete the Alive at 25 — Young Driver Traffic Course, the cost is $30. Your certificate will be mailed to you.

If you are over age 25, complete the Defensive Driving Course, online or in person, the cost is $40. If you complete the class online you will print the certificate out when you finish, if you attend in person your certificate will be mailed to you.

It is your responsibility to return the certificate of completion to the court before the date on your Plea in Abeyance Agreement. Please take mailing time under consideration when signing up for your class. You can bring the certificate in, take a picture and email or fax it. If you fax or email it, you will need to call the court after and verify that it was received.
